Heritage Poultry and Produce is a family-owned and run business located in the picturesque, semi-rural Brisbane suburb of Moggill. Our poultry is raised from our farms located in the Scenic Rim. We offer everything poultry related and more at realistic prices. As our family has been involved in poultry farming since 1945, we are able to offer our customers sound advice through experience. We’ve been involved in everything from commercial farming to showing purebreds. We sell backyard chickens, purebreds, ducks, ducklings, chicks, guinea fowl and quails, as well as everything you need as first time or seasoned poultry owners. Coops, package deals, brooder boxes, incubators, feeders, drinkers, feed – we have it all! However, due to our change in location from our old store at Richlands, we now sell more than just poultry. We stock a wide range of feed and products for horses, dogs, cats, birds and small animals, as well as a variety of hay. We are now taking orders online for all feed, supplies and poultry equipment.

PLEASE NOTE: Not all of our poultry is available for purchasing online. Many of customers who want to buy purebreds enjoy coming out to our farm shop and choosing their own birds. We also welcome all our customers to come and browse our poultry selection, and do not want to have all our chickens on hold for online orders. Chickens that we have in stock regularly and in large amounts, like ISA Browns, will be available for online ordering. Sunday Farm Day

Looking for a fun and cheap weekend activity to do with the kids?

Our Sunday Farm Day’s are on the first Sunday of each month from 10am – 12:30pm and give kids the chance to have some fun with our animals. We have an animal nursery where kids are able to feed our goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and alpacas! We also have a designated chick holding area, as well as Silkie Selfies. We even have coffee and a sausage sizzle, in case you get hungry! Check out our next Sunday Farm Day, we can’t wait to see you there.

As new chook owners the staff here were happy to explain to us what to do and clipped the chooks wings for us. New premises are much nicer than the old place!

Discovered this place by chance on the weekend. Super clean premises (inside and out). Staff were really attentertive and helpful. Pricing is reasonable too. We'll definitely be coming back.

We bought two day old chicks. After the 3 weeks mark, one of them couldn't walk. We contacted Heritage poultry and they told me to bring our chick back to check her out. Unfortunately she must of injured herself somehow so the gentleman didn't hesitate to offer us a new chick. Thank you so much for your amazing compassion and service.

We pickup our chickens on Saturday and the birds our very healthy and content in there new home. Big surprise we got an egg on the first morning. Very happy with the service and info given and the products where of good quality and a very fair price well done heritage.

GENERAL FAQ’S

What is the best way to contact you?

The best way to contact us is either through email, or on our Facebook or Instagram page. We often get a high number of phone calls a day and are not able to answer them all, so sending an email or a message is more efficient. Our contact details can be found in the “contact us” section on our website.

Where are you located?

Our address is 175A Hawkesbury Road, Moggill. We previously had a store in Richlands but that has closed down, so our current location is in Moggill.

Do you rehome roosters?

Due to our change of locations, we are now only able to rehome roosters that have been purchased from us as unsexed day old chicks. If you bought roosters from us and would like to rehome them, please call or email us in advance.

What facilities do you have?

At our store we have an outdoor area with picnic tables and chairs, with umbrella’s. We also sell cold drinks, and we have toilet facilities available.

Apart from poultry feed and products, what else do you stock?

We now stock feed and other products for horses, dogs, cats, birds and small animals. We also have a variety of hay including rhodes grass, grassy lucerne and prime lucerne. For more information you can check the individual categories, located to the left of the screen.

PURCHASING CHICKENS

How do I transport my chickens home?

It is recommended to bring a cardboard box, or a dog or cat crate to transport your chickens. If you don’t have one, we do have cardboard boxes available for $1 that fit approximately 2-3 chickens.

Do you accept card?

Yes, we have cash and card facilities.

I see you have some chickens I am interested in but I cannot pick them up today, what can I do?

If you want to purchase some chickens you see on our in stock but are not able to pick them up immediately, we are able to hold them for you for a maximum of 3 days. No deposit is needed.

I want to buy some baby chicks but I don't have anything set up, what can I do?

At our store we not only sell baby chicks and ducklings, we sell everything you need to take care of them, as well as provide professional advice. We sell brooder boxes, heat lights, feed and feeders and drinkers.

What areas do you deliver to?

We deliver to many suburbs of Brisbane and the Scenic Rim, and have meeting points in Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast. For more information and pricing, please read the “delivery service” section on our website.

I would like to order a variety of different breeds, how can I do this?

Due to high demand and the time of the year, we may not always be able to stock your exact wishlist. If you are interested in specific purebreds, the best thing to do is send an email with exactly what you are after. This way we will have your details and can contact you if we get the birds you are after in stock. Alternatively, you can check our in stock coloumn for what we have available. We do urge you to check our in stock column before visiting us to avoid disappointment.
